Hamilton and Inches has introduced the launch of The Flourish Jewelry Mission which shall be in exhibition from 22 till 25 January 2022 at Customized Home in Leith.
The venture is in partnership with North Edinburgh Arts and 4-Sq.’s Womanzone in addition to jewelry artists, Lisa Arnott and Jessica Howarth.
It goals to allow ladies who’re recovering from trauma from home violence, drug and alcohol dependancy, social isolation, and financial hardship the prospect to develop new abilities in jewelry design and making.
Working with quite a lot of organisations who assist ladies, each Arnott and Howarth created a sequence of outreach jewelry periods introducing and enabling the ladies to make rings, pendants and bangles from silver.
The ladies from the venture have now produced a small assortment of silver jewelry which shall be on show.
Arnott and Howarth stated: “We have been each delighted to have acquired funding from Artistic Scotland for the Flourish Jewelry Mission.
“By working in partnership with Foursquare’s Girls Zone venture and North Edinburgh Arts in Muirhouse we’ve got been offering jewelry making alternatives for girls from throughout town. This venture has enabled ladies who’ve skilled trauma, social isolation and/or financial challenges to develop conventional jewelry making abilities.”
